Today's cards are so simple its silly!  I used the new 'Stylish Stems' framelits to cut a negative image of this flower.  This is a great set because you can use it to create negative OR positive images... making it super versatile and a bit different too.

I've created a video tutorial to show you how I did it, and you'll notice its a pretty quick video because they are quick and easy cards! Here it is...

Product list is below....  Dont forget if you are ordering here in Australia to use the January Hostess code which is FJ3PNYBZ  (See HERE for more information about my Online Ordering Thank you program)

Enjoy Life and Have fun!

Thats the sentiment on this simple card today!

This sentiment is from our "Suite Sentiments" stamp set in the new Occasions catalogue.  I've stamped it in Bermuda Bay ink on Pool Party cardstock, and "flagged" the ends.  Behind that is a white lace doily with a little silver metallic thread.  The DSP is from the gorgeous "Cupcakes and Carousels" paper stack...  so easy!

Enjoy the card... I'll be back with more soon (To order these or other items click on the "Shop Now" button)

Silver edged Lace Doilies and the NO STAMPING challenge!

On Saturday night I had the pleasure of hosting a "Virtual Slumber Party" with my team on our Facebook Forum.  This was something i've been wanting to do for a while, and I am so glad we did it!  Even though quite a few girls were away, those that were able to attend tell me they had a great time.

So what IS a Virtual Slumber party? Basically its when we run a series of games and challenges on our team discussion site as an event.... we did a couple of challenges during the evening and the card you see here today is my own attempt at one of the challenges. This particular challenge was a "No Stamping" challenge!  Do you know how hard it is to ask a stamper to create a project without stamps??  But I was seriously impressed at the submissions.... there were 3D projects including a bookmark and a box.  My own attempt was this card... and even though there's no stamps, I did use a word from the Sunshine Sayings framelits.  The main feature though for me is the silver edged doilies... I mentioned a couple of days ago that I would show you what I did with them, and here they are :-)  If you would like to see a video of how I embossed them click HERE.

Here's a close up of today's card:

The silver ribbon on this card is a free item in our SAB catalogue... the Metallic Glitter ribbon twin pack.

Mojo Monday challenge #478 - Cupcakes and Carousels DSP

It's been a white since I participated in an online challenge.  But its certainly time!  Last night I did something really fun with my awesome team of demonstrators.... we held our first Virtual Slumber party. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing... I am heading off for a couple of weeks of leave, and wanted to do something with the girls before I leave. So we held a little team event.... there was music, drinks, games and chit chat.... but there was also challenges. I did a Limited Supply challenge with them (will post that one next time) and then I challenged them to do a challenge!  Sounds funny to type... but I supplied links to various online challenges and they were asked to have a go at one. Actually entering the particular challenge was optional of course, but I did the Mojo Monday one and decided I might as well upload it to the Mojo Monday site too :-)

So this is Mojo Monday sketch challenge #478 (#mojo478).... and I really wanted to use the gorgeous Cupcakes and Carousels DSP from the latest Occasions catalogue. Isn't it beautiful?? I adore these colours together! Especially the Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral.... they are so fresh together!

I also added a gold embossed lace doily (because I just get enough of those at the moment!) and the sentiment is from the "Suite Sentiments" stamp set.

I've included a product list below for you so that you can purchase your own supplies if you wish!

Video Tutorial: Creating a Vintage Look with Embossed Lace Doilies

You might have noticed me using the new Lace Doilies we have in our Occasions Catalogue (on page 51 if you are looking for them).... Im a little bit addicted to them actually!  Im finding that they have a myriad of uses... from sponging and masking, to using them as a background,  to stencilling....Click HERE or HERE to see a couple of examples...

But today I thought I'd like to see how they emboss to create a whole new look for them. And as you can see from the card above.... they look pretty special!  The one you see above has been embossed in gold embossing powder and the result was this beautiful vintage look.  For this card I also used the "Falling in Love" DSP and to complete the vintage feel I used the new Delicate Lace stamps on the panel for the sentiment.  I've posted a full product list below for you.

The video below shows you how.  There's also an extra bonus technique that shows you how to "spot emboss"... I used it to create this fabulous silver effect on the below doily.

Doesn't it look awesome??  I'll post a card showing off this awesome technique in the next couple of days.  To find out how I did it, click the video link below:
