Put on your Party Pants! (The latest free stamp set)

We are nearly up to the last month of Sale-A-Bration, and to make sure we don't run out of free things that we love Stampin'Up! Australia have released 2 new stamp sets (plus new metallic glitter tape).  Yep, all of these items are free with a $90 order... you just need to pick which ones you want!

Today I am playing with the new "Party Pants" stamp set.  Personally I still prefer the wood mount stamps, but it comes in both clear mount rubber and wood mount.  But since they are both free, it really is about which you prefer to use - you don't need to consider price as part of that equation.

For this card I stamped some brightly coloured balloons from the Party Pants set onto some Whisper White cardstock, and then punched them out using the Balloon Punch.  The sentiment is stamped on to the yellow balloon... thats what is cute about this set... most of the various sentiments can be stamped on to a balloon.  I used some gold thread to attach the balloons together, and attached them to the white oval to make them stand out better. The gold piece across the card is actually a piece of the new metallic glitter tape.

I've included a product list below for you but if you want to see what I've done so far with the other freebies, click HERE to see the "Pedal Pusher" set, and HERE to watch a video tutorial showing how to use the Metallic Glitter Tape, and see some samples I created with it too.

Of course there are lots of other free items too... to see the full catalogue of free items you can get with your orders click HERE.  But don't forget these will only be available until the end of March 2016.

To place an order click on the item you want OR visit the Online Store by clicking HERE.

Video Tutorial: Using the Party Popup dies!

I love it when Stampin'Up! Australia releases new products... and especially when they have an element of fun too!  The Party Popup dies are just that... they remind me so much of the Popup books I loved as a child.  Of course you can do that with them, but you can use them in other ways too.

Check out my video tutorial on how to use them for these projects.  And if you'd like to order your own, you can click HERE to be directed to the Online Store!

Enjoy the Little Things - Project Kit class this week... ONE SPOT LEFT!

I'm a big fan of the Project Kits that Stampin'Up Australia offer in their catalogues, and these have also proved to be very popular classes.   This Wednesday I have a class running that uses the "Enjoy the Little Things" project kit.... The kit would normally retail for $48.75 (plus postage) but when you come along and do my Project Kit class, you will get the kit INCLUDED for $50!  And of course the use of the co-ordinating stamps and accessories which I also have available.  So it really is a bargain.

This kit would make a gorgeous gift too... either made up by yourself, or even to give as is to a crafty friend. The included cards are not only fun to create, but make a fabulous addition to your decor.

I've included the details of the kit (plus the co-ordinating stamps) below... if you would like to order one, click on the image.  Or if you'd like to take the last spot in my class, contact me by clicking HERE.

Botanical Gardens Suite to make perfectly co-ordinated cards

Over the next couple of weeks I have several workshops where I will be teaching some card techniques with the Botanical Gardens suite of products.  These colours are not my absolute favourites (being more of a blue/cool palette girl) but I have to admit that these autumn shades work so well with this set!  I'm liking them more and more as I use them.

If you are interested in getting a few friends together to create this card for yourselves, please let me know.  I run my Stampin'Up workshops and classes both at home on the Central Coast, but also in the Sydney Metro and Hunter areas.  I am happy to travel... or if I am unable to make my way to you, I can suggest other highly recommended demonstrators in your area. So CONTACT ME if you would like to be shown how to create lovely cards or paper projects such as this one.

One of best things about this particular product suite is that you can buy them separately or as a bundle.  And a little different to other bundles... this bundle includes the stamps, the framelits AND the paper pack!  Buying it this way also saves you 15% off the normal retail price, so its a great deal. I've included the product gallery below if you wish to purchase them for yourself.... you can click on the individual items OR visit the Online Store by clicking HERE or using the "SHOP NOW" button.

Note: The "Thank you" sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.

Enjoy!

Video Tutorial: Using the NEW Metallic Glitter Tape

This week we are celebrating the release of some new SAB products available from Stampin'Up Australia.  This means that there are new items to choose from (for free) with every $90 that you spend on Stampin'Up products.

Of course, I love them all. But today I have prepared a video for you of my favourite of the new products... the Metallic Glitter Tape.  I love it for several reasons... its versatile to use in a range of different ways, its sparkly, its free with a $90 order, it comes in 3 awesome colours, it can be altered to match the colour of your project, its sparkly, and it tears just like washi tape. Oh, and did I mention that it's sparkly??

Rather than write lots more about why I love this tape, I created a video to show you several different ways to use it.  You'll see some cool samples I have made, as well as some basic tips and techniques.

Here's a close up of the stars:

If you would like to get your hands on this tape for yourself, you can choose it as your free gift every time you spend $90 on Stampin'Up products.  You can order it by contacting me or you can order yourself through the Online Store.  The item number for the tape when ordering is 141020.

Here is the video..... if you like it please hit the subscribe button and stay tuned for more videos and tutorials. Enjoy!

Sky is the Limit and Going Global for great Masculine cards

Right now Stampin'Up Australia has some great options for making Masculine cards.  In particular I've been making cards with a travel theme as we currently have some great travel and adventure offerings.

The "Sky is the Limit" stamp set is one of our free Sale-A-Bration products (so available with a $90 order) this year, and the other items used in this card are part of the "Going Global" suite in our current Occasions catalogue. I love the aeroplane in the "Sky is the Limit" stamp set... it is actually really useful and looks awesome combined with the other travel items.

Don't forget that my Online Store is open 24 hours a day... you can shop for any Stampin'Up products right here!  And if you'd like to see even more of my creations and ideas, please pop over to my Facebook business page and "Like" it to stay in touch.

Enjoy! x

Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin'Up Blog Share - February

Welcome back to another MKPLSU blog share.  For this month we are showcasing the gorgeous  "Memories in the Making" Speciality Card kit... And it's been great for me to get stuck into some of my recent holiday snaps from my US trip at the beginning of the year.  I love getting them off my iPhone and into my albums....it means that everyone else can enjoy them too.

This particular kit is awesome for several reasons.....
  • It's FREE with a $90 order of any Stampin'Up products right now.
  • The kit features lots of white embossed cards... This means you can use  ANY COLOUR on them... To match your photographs perfectly. No more searching around trying to find the right colours.  You just make them the colours you want!
  • You can add your colours in various ways... sponging, brayering, spritzing or stamping. Introduce the colours YOU want to co-ordinate with your photos.
  • You'll also find some gold overlays in this kit. You can lay these over anything.... Photos or other cards. You can even use them on their own if you like.  But here's a sneaky tip.... They are Gold on one side... But the "back" side of the overlays is actually silver! So you can use those too (which I have done on these pages... See above and below)
  • They match the equally gorgeous "Memories in the Making" Card collection and matching accessory kit... so if you love those, you will lose adding this speciality kit to your collection. I've used some accents from the card kit and accessories here, and they all go together so beautifully!

For this page I used one of the 6"x4" white embossed cards and used "Marina Mist" ink to sponge over the colour to match my photos. I thought the design reminded me of waves so it seems perfect for these pages.  I also used some "Hello Honey" ink on a sponge to softly colour the centre of the smaller 3"x4" card... this highlights the embossing but just in the centre, bringing attention to the words. I used the stickers from the "Memories in the Making" Accessory kit for these.

Finally, the page below shows our time at the Hard Rock cafe at Biloxi Beach.  I would have had a very difficult time finding cards to match the loud colours in the photos here, but being able to tailor the cards to your colour scheme is so handy!

I used the embossed white cards again, and this time sponged my yellow inks over it (a combination of Crushed Curry and Hello Honey), and then added a little Cucumber Crush ink over the edges.

Of course, don't forget to journal your stories. I used a card from the "Memories in the Making" card kit. However the yellow and light blue triangles on the journalling card didn't really match this page, so I coloured over those with Hello Honey and Cucumber crush markers.. much better! :-)

The little black guitar was actually a souvenir from lunch.... it was on the end of a  swizzle stick in my cocktail!  I snapped off the actual stick and used the guitar in my PL album. Don't forget to keep those little souvenirs.... they look awesome scattered throughout your Project Life albums!

If you want to learn more about Project Life AND get some cool tips for your pages, my next Project Life class is scheduled for Friday 4th March @ 7.30pm.  You'll find the details HERE.   It's also great to set aside some time to work on your precious photographs and get them off your phone or camera!

I hope you enjoy these pages... I've got plans to make lots more of them over the coming weeks :-)

Now its time to go and check out the awesome pages created by the other Design Team Members!  You'll be inspired by what they have created this month!

Video Tutorial: Making a Pop out Flip card

Last month I held a couple of my stamp clubs and I previously I showed you what we made (click HERE to see if if you missed that post).  Today's card is another example of this same style of card, except this time I designed it to work as a Masculine card.  I really LOVE the little aeroplane from the "Sky is the Limit" stamp set - but if you love it too you are going to have to be quick.... this one is only available until the 15th February.  And best of all its free... its one of the free options to choose from when you spend $90 on any SU products.  So if you are in Australia, and you are placing a $90 order, don't forget you get to choose this or other great sets for free!

To see them click the SHOP NOW button and visit the Online Store

Because I am currently addicted to these Pop Out flip cards, I thought I'd make a video tutorial to show you how easy they are to make.  I'm hoping to be a lot more frequent with my videos this year.. if you'd like to see more of them make sure you subscribe to my Youtube channel.  That way you'll never miss one.  And I have quite a few tutorials already planned out....

Have fun and enjoy today's video!
